A Word from the President
2009 SEASON
ARTICLE V
DUTIES OF OFFICERS
Section 1. President - the President shall preside at all meetings of the club and preserve order and shall decide all questions of order using as a guide Roberts Rules of Order. The President shall have the right to vote at all elections of officers, and when the members and/or Board of Directors are equally divided on other questions, shall have the deciding vote. The President shall enforce the provisions of the constitution and bylaws, shall appoint committee chairpersons from members of the Board of Directors, and shall be responsible for the general administration of the club. In the event a vacancy occurs in any of the elected Board members, the President shall appoint a club member to fill such vacancy for the remainder of the term. Such appointment shall be with the advice and approval of a majority of the Directors present when the appointment is made. The President will conduct Board meetings through the use of a written agenda. All Board Members shall contribute materials they wish to have considered for the agenda prepared by the President.
